MLS Tickets - Two Teams Still Undefeated by Brent Warnken

The 2009 MLS season kicked off with a slew of exciting matches, and when the dust settled after the first two games of the season, two teams emerged on top. One was Chivas USA and the other is the league's newest addition, the Seattle Sounders FC. Many other teams have yet to technically lose a game either as the Chicago Fire, Toronto FC and New England Revolution each have one win and one tie. D.C. United and the Columbus Crew both started with two ties. The Los Angeles Galaxy have only played one game in the same amount of time, tallying one tie. No matter which team you are cheering for to make it to the finals, fans can get MLS tickets online.

The Chivas USA started out their season on March 21 with a game against the Colorado Rapids. The Chivas USA ended up pulling out a 2-1 win at home that game, with two goals by Paulo Nagamura. The Rapids took the lead first in the game in the 38th minute when Omar Cummings scored off rebound from a save by Chivas USA goalie Zach Thornton. When the second half started, Nagamura evened the score with a 25-yeard bullet. It took only a few minutes for Nagamura to find the goal for the second time, giving the Chivas the win.

The Chivas USA didn't have to come from behind in their first road game victory of the season against FC Dallas, where the Chivas took the game 2-0. Both of Chivas USA's goals came in the second half. Eduardo Lillingston scored his first ever MLS goal in the 56th minute of the game, giving Chivas USA a 1-0 lead. Twenty minutes later, Bojan Stepanovic also scored his first ever MLS goal, finishing the scoring for Chivas and putting them out of teach for a FC Dallas comeback. Chivas USA's fortitude will be tested in their upcoming game with the defending MLS Cup champions, the Columbus Crew.

In their inaugural game in the MLS, the Seattle Sounders FC didn't fail to impress the droves of fans that had come out for their debut. On March 19, the Seattle Sounders FC hosted the New York Red Bulls and sent the Red Bulls packing with a 3-0 shutout defeat. Two of the team's goals and one assist came from 21-year-old Colombian striker Fredy Montero, who is on loan from Colombia's Deportivo Cali. The other goal came from Brad Evans, who passed in a left-footed shot in the 25th minute.

Montero was another driving force when the Seattle Sounders FC took on Real Salt Lake, tallying one goal in the 2-0 shutout. The first goal of the game was scored in the 17th minute by Nate Jaqua. Most of the game was spent with the game stuck at 1-0. In the 77th minute, Montero pushed the score out of reach for Real Salt Lake with his third goal of the season. If the Seattle Sounders FC can keep this kind of momentum going, they will have quite an inaugural season.
